Generocity — Wish you had cash for your car guard? Finally, giving is effortless again.

Ready to give without cash?

Why Generocity exists

We did not become less generous. We simply stopped carrying cash.

South Africans are constantly reminded of the need around us. We want to help, but everyday life has become increasingly cashless.

You can withdraw cash beforehand. You can try to make existing technology work. But both add friction to what used to be a quick and simple act of kindness.

This is especially frustrating when the person you want to help does not have access to a bank account.

Giving should not become another task in an already busy day.

A simple idea

We made everyday generosity effortless again.

Generocity brings back the simplicity and spontaneity of handing someone cash—without needing cash.

It gives you a quick way to donate to your car guard while helping them participate in the digital economy.

No cash. No complicated process. Just a simple way to help where you can.

Every small donation makes a meaningfull impact.

More than a donation

With Generocity, Guards can now do more with every donation

A small operational fee is charged separately, helping to ensure that every cent you choose to donate goes to the Guard while giving them access to valuable services.

Shop free of charge without a bank account

Guards can buy groceries and everyday essentials without needing a traditional bank account or debit card.

Withdraw cash when they need it

Guards can access cash for ad hoc expenses such as rent, school costs, transport and other important payments.

Store their money safely

Guards can keep their money safely in their Generocity wallet instead of carrying cash and risking loss or theft. They can even begin putting something aside for a rainy day.

Generocity empowers Guards to spend, access and protect the money they receive.

The heart behind Generocity

Built from a very South African frustration

People across South Africa want to help where they can. But as life became cashless, even the smallest act of generosity became more difficult.

Cash can still solve the problem, but withdrawing it takes planning. Other technology can sometimes be adapted, but the experience is rarely effortless.

Effortless Payment Solutions was born from that frustration.

We took the time to make this simple act of kindness effortless, so that millions of South Africans can rediscover the joy of helping where they can.

We used serious technology to make kindness feel simple again.

Local team

Developed in South Africa, for South Africans

Generocity was developed locally by a team of South African engineers and entrepreneurs with a shared heart: to help people who are often excluded from the digital economy participate safely and meaningfully.

The team at Effortless Payment Solutions has extensive experience in building and commercialising large-scale technology platforms—from advanced artificial intelligence and industrial automation to everyday consumer applications.

We brought that experience together to solve one simple but important problem: making everyday generosity effortless again.

Trusted infrastructure

Serious about financial security.

To help keep everyone’s money safe and secure, Generocity partnered with Omnea—one of South Africa’s leading third-party payment infrastructure providers.

Established in 1999
Generocity is built on Omnea’s established payment infrastructure, trusted for more than 25 years by banks, corporates, fintechs and SMEs across Africa.  Because every rand matters, we partnered with experienced specialists instead of learning through mistakes with money people depend on.
Proven Platform
Omnea’s established financial infrastructure reliably processes more than 900,000 payment transactions worth over R300 billion across Africa each month—giving you confidence that every Generocity transaction is supported by proven, large-scale infrastructure.
Protecting Customer Funds
Generocity customer funds are held separately in a protected, ring-fenced structure under the oversight of an authorised Financial Services Provider and in accordance with applicable FSCA requirements—helping ensure that money entrusted to Generocity remains secure.
Regulatory Oversight
Omnea's payment infrastructure is sponsored and enabled through Absa Bank, while its registration as a Payment System Operator and Third-Party Payment Provider places it within the frameworks prescribed by the South African Reserve Bank and the Payments Association of South Africa.
